Jeanee Paints to Live Music
"Jeanee" aka Jean Bourque of Columbia SC had been visiting artists friends in Myrtle Beach and painted with them on numerous occasions, many times painting the night away while others had long stopped. Her friends would often comment how she kept the beat of the music when she painted and how she was actually entertaining them even though they were also visual artists.
Jeanee often thought how wonderful it would be to paint to live music. She started by asking musicians she knew if they would be interested in having her paint live to their music. "The Dubber" aka Wendell Culbreath solo songwriter guitarist and world musician took her up on her offer and she painted live to his music at Utopia and The White Mule in Columbia SC. Other musicians invited her to paint at their shows. Soon, JeaneePaintsLive became a reality. Her art is painted to the beat of the music and she often does what she calls paint dancing. She paints abstract art to the live music.
Since then she has painted several times a month at a variety of venues with live music. Now, she has painted live to over 160 bands at numerous festivals, gallery events and night clubs from GA to WV. Venues can book her for live events through this blog or facebook. She has a collection of fine art painted to the bands; available for sale directly through the artist or at gallery shows, live events and festivals.
She has discovered a wide array of musical interests and she shares her love of music and art with the world. This blog is a way to share and showcase her musical interests, her art and her adventures. Feel free to subscribe to this blog and if you would like, you can follow her on Facebook at Jean Bourque by hitting "like" on her Facebook fan page.
Come see what all the buzz is about...
